What to pack for Snowdon (and what NOT to bring unless you hate your back)

If you bring a 30kg rucksack for a one-night trip... just know we’ll still talk about it next year.

We once had a brother bring a bag the size of a small fridge to climb Snowdon.
It was giving “I’m moving house” energy.
Five minutes in, he knew he had messed up — and the rest of us had to help carry it to the top and back.

He survived.
But his bag lives on in Akhi Retreats history as a cautionary tale.

So let’s keep it simple this time.

You’re coming for 1 night.
We’ve got you covered on transport, breakfast, the hike — all you need to bring is what gets you through the weekend comfortably.

🎒 Pack:

  • Waterproof jacket

  • Decent walking shoes or boots

  • Tracksuit / comfy activewear

  • Water bottle

  • Small backpack (nothing mad)

  • Toiletries + change of clothes

  • A hoodie or fleece (it gets cold up top)

  • Snacks (for the hike or just vibes)

That’s it.
No tents. No sleeping bags. No expedition gear.

You don’t need experience.
You just need to show up — prepared, not overpacked.

And if you’re still unsure, once you sign up, I’ll send you a full kit list + itinerary.
Plus, I’ll personally jump on a call to answer any questions.

🧭 Early bird ends August 10
🗓️ Trip is Sept 13–14
